Databox, a fast-growing software company, is looking for an SEO specialist to join our marketing team in order to help continue building and optimizing our website and content to support growth. 

Our mission is to help millions of companies improve their business performance through better use of data. Our product lets companies visualize, benchmark, track and report performance data from hundreds of other tools.


The Marketing Team

Our marketing team has built a solid marketing engine that generates ~200k [mostly organic] sessions every month and ~5k signups to our product. Over the last several years, our website has become the main driver of our company’s revenue growth.

We’ve published thousands of blog posts during that time–many of which are ranking and driving significant organic traffic–dozens (and counting) of website pages targeting high-intent keywords and have continued to invest in creating and optimizing content as an acquisition channel. 

Because our marketing efforts are content-driven, many marketing initiatives rely on a solid SEO, keyword, and reporting strategy in order to ensure and measure success. 

As the marketing team continues to grow, the need for someone to own this function has become even more important.  


The Role

Databox is looking for an SEO specialist to join the marketing team in order to help plan and execute our SEO strategy, measure and report on what’s working, and enable the teams within marketing to publish work that drives the right people to our website. 


The ideal candidate has experience developing SEO and keyword strategies, measuring and reporting on success, and working with the right tools and technology to better analyze and optimize our efforts.


The Work

  • Perform regular content audits in order to measure the performance of SEO and keyword strategies.
  • Work with marketing managers to put performance tracking in place in order to measure the effectiveness of specific initiatives and campaigns.
  • Share key analyses and data with relevant marketing team(s) and project stakeholders
  • Develop SEO (keyword, on-page, off-page, etc.) strategies that help to improve search rankings and increase organic traffic
  • Identify SEO opportunities through ongoing research and analysis of the Databox website, competitors, content gaps, etc.
  • Collaborate and communicate with the marketing department to execute and manage the SEO and content strategy
  • Collaborate with the content team in order to identify and prioritize content/pages that need to be updated
  • Document and update all SEO-related processes (how to do keyword research, on-page optimization checklists, etc.)


The requirements

  • 3+ years of B2B SEO experience
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of SEO (on-page/off-page), keyword research, content audits, search intent concepts, and related tools.
  • Knowledge of technical SEO (familiar with “lazy load” optimization, core web vitals metrics, etc.)
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge (basic understanding of how a website page is structured to optimize for search engines -> HTML5 semantic tags, schema markup, etc.)
  • Well-versed in the use of Google Sheets/Excel to manipulate, transform and organize data in a way that it’s easy to understand.
  • Well-versed in the use of several tools to plan, execute and report on successful SEO campaigns like Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog Spider, WordPress, etc.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset: Comfortable analyzing high volumes of data on a daily basis and creating dashboards/reports to track, monitor, and present current and historical performance data to other stakeholders.
  • Experience working with “Topic Clusters” and/or “Hub-and-Spoke” content models, is a plus.
  • Experience with SEO experimentation/AB testing, is a plus
  • Experience with other areas of marketing, such as content and product marketing, is a plus.
