The Company

Databox, a fast-growing software company, is looking for a Paid Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team in order to help build out and expand our paid marketing strategy in order to support signup growth. 

Our mission is to help millions of companies improve their business performance through better use of data. Our product lets companies visualize, benchmark, track and report performance data from hundreds of other tools.


The Marketing Team

Our marketing team has built a solid marketing engine that generates ~200k [mostly organic] sessions every month and ~5k signups to our product. Over the last several years, our website has become the main driver of our company’s revenue growth.

During that time, we’ve relied mostly on Content Marketing and SEO as our main growth strategy to drive traffic to the website and convert that traffic into signups. While organic continues to grow, we need to expand into other acquisition channels in order to support our growth goals. To do so, we’ve started to experiment and invest in paid channels like Google Ads. However, we will also look to expand into other paid channels that make economic sense like paid social, sponsorships, etc. 

We’re looking for someone with experience here who can own this function and help us attract and convert relevant traffic economically. 


The Role

Databox is looking for a Paid Marketing Specialist to join the marketing team in order to help plan and execute our paid media strategy, measure and report on what’s working, and be creative about what we can try and experiment with to improve our results.

Our growth goals as a company are reliant on continuing to expand into other acquisition channels like paid media. So, your effort and impact will be visible. While we continue to experiment and invest in paid channels today, you will be the first person to own this function at Databox.

We have an experiment-first mentality, so any channel we invest in must be tested and deemed successful statistically.

The ideal candidate has experience developing end-to-end Paid Marketing campaigns, measuring and reporting on success, and working with the right tools and technology to better analyze and optimize our efforts.


The Work

  • Collaborate alongside our Growth Manager to develop and execute our Paid Marketing strategy.
  • Participate in the development of the multi-channel strategy.
  • You will be responsible for implementing the campaigns.
  • You will (primarily) work with paid search, paid social, and programmatic.
  • Creating campaigns, audiences, and ads.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations: setting bids, handling budgets, and improving anything that can be improved.
  • In addition to measuring data, you will design experiments to show the incremental impact of the campaigns we are running.
  • Producing detailed analyses and reports of campaigns.
  • Work with other team members, including developers, to build optimized Landing Pages for PPC campaigns.
  • Our copywriters and designers will help you turn your ideas into assets that inspire and convert.

The requirements

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Ideally, you have +3 years of experience managing Paid campaigns end-to-end: from ideation, to pitch, creative brief, implementation, and measurement.
  • Strong analytical skills: you have no trouble understanding campaign performance, and you can tell stories with data.
  • Creative: if you’re running performance marketing, you need to be driven by results, but, most importantly, you need to be creative.
  • Previous experience working with a wide variety of PPC and Paid Media channels like Google Ads, Facebook/IG Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Capterra & G2 online marketplaces.
  • Experience planning and optimizing bidding strategies across paid platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc. 
  • Previous experience with paid media A/B Testing and experimentation (different copy, creatives, etc.)
  • Expertise in campaign and channel analysis and reporting, including Google Analytics experience.
  • The ability to present information and data effectively to other stakeholders
  • Familiar with analytics, marketing, and CRM tools like HubSpot, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, etc.


Nice to have

  • You have hands-on experience in SaaS or B2B lead-generation environments, as well as Sales Technology / Marketing Technology.
